About us

A group of nine people, mostly women, sitting around a table in a restaurant or cafe, smiling at the camera. On the table are cups, glasses, and a logo with a green leaf and text that reads 'NZ Federation Chinese Tea Culture Incorporated' along with Chinese characters.

Making Friends Through Tea,

Building a Diverse and Harmonious New Zealand Community

Founded in 2022, the New Zealand–China Tea Culture Federation is a registered non‑profit cultural organization in New Zealand. We are dedicated to promoting community integration and development through tea culture, guided by the following principles:

  • Tea as a Way of Life: Inheriting thousands of years of Eastern wisdom and promoting a healthy lifestyle

  • Connecting Through Tea: Creating a platform for cross‑cultural exchange and strengthening cohesion within our diverse communities

Our Key Focus Areas

Multicultural Community Integration

We regularly host tea‑culture workshops and tasting events, sustained through reasonable participation fees, and open to residents of all ethnic backgrounds. Through tea‑art demonstrations, tea‑ceremony sharing, and related activities, we promote multicultural understanding and meaningful交流.

Youth Education

In partnership with local schools, we run the “Tea and Nature” education program. With support from members and sponsoring businesses, we provide students with:

  • Courses on tea cultivation and ecological conservation

  • Experiences in sustainable tea‑drinking practices

  • Workshops on tea‑ceremony etiquette, harmony, and environmental values

Quality Tea Promotion

We carefully select high‑quality tea gardens and establish direct‑supply channels to offer New Zealand families:

  • Authentic, origin‑certified teas

  • High‑quality tea at fair and accessible prices

  • Professional tea‑knowledge support and services

Balancing Public Good and Operations

Each year, we host the “Tea Fragrance Around the World” charity sale, with proceeds dedicated to:

  • Supporting selected community cultural projects

  • Sustaining the association’s daily operations

  • Developing tea‑culture exchange initiatives

Our Sustainability

We ensure the long‑term and stable development of the association—and our continued contribution to the community—through a balanced model that combines membership fees, corporate sponsorships, event income, and public‑benefit initiatives.

Our Vision

To make tea culture a bridge that connects people of all ethnic backgrounds, bringing health, harmony, and a shared sense of well‑being to communities across New Zealand.
